Hi there! My name’s Alicia MacLeay and I like to go outside and run, hike, ski, and take pictures on trails, mountains, and most places outside.
I live in Maine with my husband and two kids. That’s me on the right, looking a bit goofy, anxious, and intense before a race—a common emotional combo.
I’m also the co-founder and editor of Trailspace.com, an online outdoor gear review community I founded with my husband way back in 2001.

Outdoor Calling is my “little site about the big outdoors.” I’m not the fastest, most skilled, or talented at anything I do, but I am at my best when I go outside. This site is my space for photos I take and thoughts I have while outside, noticing the world around us. Thanks for stopping by!
